The Carriage House
The Carriage House was originally built at the turn of the century when it was used as a place to store horse-drawn carriages. Later, it evolved into a garage, and eventually was renovated to become a three unit building for guest accommodations 1980’s.
North Manitou is a split-level condo unit on the north end of the Carriage House. Two bedrooms and the full bathroom with tub/shower combo are upstairs. The lakeview upstairs bedroom has a king bed and the other has a pair of twins that can be made into a king upon request ($30 fee applies). Downstairs there is another bedroom with two twins, a full kitchen and a large, lakefront, private deck.
South Manitou is a main floor unit with three bedrooms and one bath on the south end of the Carriage House. One bedroom has a queen bed, one has a pair of twins that can be made up as a king on request, and the other has set of twin bunks. The unit has a full kitchen and open concept living and dining area all with beautiful Lake Michigan views. There is a private, attached, lakefront deck.
The Crib is an upstairs unit in the Carriage House named after the lighthouse that rests atop the shoal between North and South Manitou Islands. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has a pair of twins that can be made up as a king on request ($30 fee applies). The full bathroom has a tub/shower comboThere is a full kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace. The living room, dining area, kitchen, and bathroom all have incredible lake views.
